Last night around 2007, as crews were returning to station after some ladder drills, Lyons and Ruscombmanor Fire were dispatched to the area of the New Jerusalem church for a possible brush fire. Reports were that 2 juveniles were seen setting a pile of brush on fire. All apparatus from Company 35 responded with a crew on each. When Brush 35 arrived on location the fire was out and noone was in the area. State Police arrived and questioned a few individuals however the individuals that set the fire were not located. Crews cleared by 2100. Later in the night at 2216 Lyons Fire and Topton EMS were dispatched to E Penn St and N Main St in Lyons Boro for an MVA. Reports were of a vehicle striking a parked vehicle, which had attempted to leave the scene, unable to the driver fled on foot. While enroute to the scene Deputy 35 spotted and stopped the actor, then awaited PD's arrival. Rescue, Engine, and Brush 35 responded to the scene to power down the vehicle and control hazards.
